With more than 20 years living in Noosa, Jesse Malthouse offers genuine local knowledge and a people-first approach to real estate. His long-standing connection to the area, combined with hands-on experience through varying market conditions, allows him to guide clients with confidence, clarity and care.
Jesse entered the industry just prior to COVID, gaining valuable experience during one of the most dynamic periods in recent real estate history. This early exposure reinforced the importance of adaptability, clear communication and trust – principles that continue to underpin his work today. Known for doing the “1%ers” exceptionally well, Jesse is committed to being honest, timely and respectful, ensuring clients feel informed and supported at every stage of the process.
Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, Jesse tailors each campaign to the individual property and buyer profile. He focuses on understanding who the ideal buyer is, where they’re coming from and how best to position each home to maximise interest and results. Approachable and calm in his delivery, Jesse builds strong rapport with both buyers and sellers, creating positive experiences and long-term relationships.

Tell us a bit about yourself and what led you to become an agent at Reed & Co.
I’ve lived in Noosa for over 20 years and real estate has become a natural extension of my connection to the area and its people. My background is grounded in sport and high-performance environments, which taught me discipline, resilience and the importance of doing the small things well. When I entered real estate, my goal was simple – to offer a more genuine, people-focused experience. Reed & Co. aligns strongly with that philosophy, valuing integrity, communication and long-term relationships over shortcuts.
What does your professional journey look like so far, and how did this journey bring you to Noosa?
I grew up in Noosa after my family moved here when I was young, and while I’ve lived and travelled elsewhere, nothing compares to this place. Before real estate, my focus was on pursuing professional AFL, which shaped my work ethic, consistency and mindset. I entered real estate just before COVID, which provided a unique and hands-on introduction to the industry and reinforced the importance of adaptability, local knowledge and trust, all of which now underpin how I work with clients.
What are your personal interests and commitments, and how are they met within the Noosa community?
Noosa offers an incredibly healthy and active lifestyle, which is important to me. I’m passionate about running, fitness and being outdoors, and the local trails, beaches and training groups make it easy to stay active and connected. I’ve previously served as President of Noosa Toastmasters and remain involved with the Noosa Tri Group, which reflects my appreciation for community, personal growth and shared goals.
Tell us about your individual approach as an agent, and the personal qualities which help you achieve this.
My approach is centred on doing the 1%ers exceptionally well – being honest, timely, respectful and always communicating clearly. Real estate is a people business, and I focus on delivering a high level of service that builds trust from the outset. I’m known for building rapport quickly and tailoring each campaign to the property and buyer profile, rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all strategy. This personalised, transparent approach consistently helps clients feel confident and supported throughout the process.
