Wally Fry is the co-founder and CEO of The Fry Family Food Company. He
is a philanthropist and keen kite surfer. Wally is a born and bred South African where Zulu was (almost) his first language and meat was very much part of his life. A former livestock agent, Wally and his wife, Debbie, started making plant-based meat for their own consumption back in 1991. This eventually lead to Wally becoming vegetarian and was the start of internationally acclaimed Fry Family Food Company. Wally is an inspiring speaker – he speaks at a number of sustainability conferences and covers a wide range of topics including how to reduce our impact on the environment, food choices and climate change, consciousness, “making a profit without compromising ethics and values’ and entrepreneurship.
